As opposed to Cigarettes? All I know is this…
I smoked a pack a day for over 30 years. Towards the end I couldn’t walk from the front of the store to the back to get to the pharmacy to pick up my breathing medication and high blood pressure meds.
I couldn’t sleep for the “Popcorn Lung” and wheezing I suffered from as a result of smoking. I could not smell, taste and my skin was a light yellow to gray hue. I tried to quit on many occasions. Tried some of the medications that make claims they can help you quit, no good! I was even forced to quit for 1 year after going to jail, only to light up the moment I was released.
2 years ago, I tried vaping. I have not smoked a cigarette since! I can breath, I can taste, I can smell. I can sleep. I no longer need the breathing meds or high blood pressure meds… Coincidence? LOL… If so, so be it but I sincerely doubt it.
We are living in an age where many people are health conscious, but continue to put and use mass chemicals and poisons in their bodies all the while justifying them as “Healthy” Who really knows? For every 10 positive reviews, there are 5 negative reviews. Everyone has their own opinions as to what is right, what is wrong, what is healthy, what is harmful. What we should do and what we should stay away from. It’s mostly all opinion and is relative to what you really want to hear!
In my 56 years, I have learned many things… First, if someone is doing something they want to do and it hurts no one else, shut up and let them do it! Does it really bother you that much? If so, there might be another issue that needs to be dealt with.
Second, it is human nature for us to disagree! What gets me are the guys that have an opinion based solely on what the minority believe. Then, when the minority become the majority, they suddenly find a reason to go to the other side. Reasoning behind that? Who really knows and frankly do you really care? Just ironic.
Nonetheless, vaping has relieved me of several negative issues. Cost of cigarettes… Needless to say of the savings over the course of 1 year. Health…When you weigh your health between cigarettes and vaping, it cannot be denied that vaping causes much less health problems than cigarettes. Least important but still an issue… the stigma society has attached to those that smoke - It’s dirty, second hand smoke causes harsh medical issues to innocent victims, smokers are responsible for a number of deaths based on fires inadvertently being set and it smells to name just a few.
So, when asked if vaping hurts you? I’m sure in one aspect or another it might, but when compared to the alternative?
